Job Description E! News is seeking an Associate Social Media Editor to support social content and programming for E! Insider, its commerce and lifestyle vertical. This role will focus on creating engaging, performance-driven content that translates editorial shopping stories into compelling social experiences across Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms, while contributing to audience growth and revenue.

A strong awareness of celebrity-driven fashion and lifestyle trends is key, as this role will help identify and package culturally relevant moments into shoppable content.

The ideal candidate is a digital-native storyteller with strong editorial instincts, a sharp eye for packaging, and a clear understanding of how to drive engagement and clicks through social-first formats. Experience in editorial commerce is a must.

Responsibilities

Create and program social-first content across E! Insider channels, with a focus on photo posts, carousels, graphics, and link-driven content

Translate editorial shopping stories, trends, and product launches into engaging, conversion-minded social posts

Identify and react to celebrity-driven fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends, turning real-time cultural moments into timely, shoppable social content

Partner with editorial teams to elevate celebrity style moments, red carpet trends, and viral fashion conversations into social formats that drive engagement and revenue

Write compelling, platform-native copy that drives clicks, shares, and purchase intent

Support daily publishing and content scheduling across platforms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong packaging

Assist in developing and executing repeatable content franchises and programming strategies that drive consistent engagement and revenue

Collaborate with editorial and commerce teams to align on content calendars, tentpoles, and key shopping moments

Monitor performance metrics such as engagement, clicks, and revenue, and apply learnings to optimize future content

Stay on top of platform trends, audience behavior, and social shopping habits to inform content decisions

Maintain workflows across publishing tools like Dash Social and True Anthem

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience creating and publishing social-first content, preferably in commerce, lifestyle, or entertainment

Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of social copy that converts

Experience creating static and graphic content (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere preferred)

Understanding of how to package content for social platforms to maximize engagement and traffic

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Data-aware mindset with a willingness to learn from performance metrics

Collaborative and proactive, with strong communication skills

Willingness to work flexible hours, including during major commerce tentpoles and entertainment events

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.

Salary range: $65,000-$75,000
