Absarokee Evangelical Church – Senior Pastor
Absarokee Evangelical Church (AEC) (https://www.absarokeechurch.org) is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to shepherd our congregation and assist the Overseers in the administration of the life and direction of the Church.
Position Description The role of the Pastor is to shepherd our congregation as well as assist the Overseers in the administration of the life and direction of the Church. The Pastor will have a firm grasp on the purpose, values, and strategy of the church; possess the ability to align and guide church staff and key leadership teams with the mission of the church; offer pastoral leadership alongside lay members; and ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support its ministry activities.
We desire a Pastor who displays Godly characteristics both in his private and public life, is approachable, committed to seeking Biblical solutions to problems that arise, and has a desire to continue learning and improving his skills, abilities, and gifts. The Pastor will be a member of the AEC Overseer Board.

Pastor Required Qualifications
Gifted Teacher
Shepherd
Ability to encourage those around him
Must be able to address current issues from a Biblical perspective and provide meaningful life application of Biblical principles (evidence of gifted preaching, teaching, time management, and disciplined preparation)
Must be able to delegate tasks to lay‑people and encourage their involvement
Minimum of 3 years active ministry within a Church or Para‑church organization
Preferred Additional Qualifications
A seminary graduate (or willing to pursue seminary training or PESM if selected)
Basic computer skills
Benefits Salary: $70,000 per year, split into salary, retirement savings, and medical insurance. A manufactured home will be installed in a lot next to the church for use as a parsonage; the parsonage benefit requires the pastor to pay utilities. The pastor will participate in a small community pastoral role with opportunities to serve others. The congregation includes a variety of ages and backgrounds, an active senior group, a youth group for teens, and dynamic Bible study groups.
