Summary
Crossroads Collective, a social enterprise of Catholic Charities of Acadiana, is seeking a creative and mission-driven Content & Communications Associate to help share our story, promote our retail space, and support a welcoming customer experience. This unique role blends digital communications, marketing, and hands‑on retail work—perfect for someone who enjoys both creative storytelling and engaging directly with the community. Through your work, you will help highlight the impact of our mission while driving awareness, sales, and support for our programs. Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Communications
Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
Develop and distribute email communications, including promotions and newsletters (via Klaviyo)
Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects both Crossroads Collective and Catholic Charities of Acadiana
Capture photo and video content for products, events, and community storytelling
Marketing & Advertising
Execute and support in-store promotions, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives
Assist in planning and promoting sales and special events
Collaborate with team members to develop creative strategies that increase visibility and foot traffic
Retail & Customer Experience
Provide excellent, welcoming customer service on the sales floor
Assist with cashiering and product selection
Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment
Represent the mission and values of Catholic Charities of Acadiana in all customer interactions
Merchandising & Product Discovery
Identify new products and trends that align with the store’s purpose and audience
Assist with merchandising displays and product placement
Share insights on customer preferences and sales trends
Job Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with social media platforms and content creation (professional or personal).
Basic knowledge of email marketing tools is a plus.
Creative mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Customer‑service oriented with a positive, team‑focused attitude.
Retail, marketing, or communications experience preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform typical retail duties.
Comfortable using a smartphone or camera for content creation.
Job Specifications
Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
