We are seeking a skilled
Designer
with a strong background in
civil or structural drafting
to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in a
hands‑on, supportive environment , where your technical expertise and attention to detail will be genuinely valued.
The role will be based at our
Walla Walla, NSW site
(approximately a 30‑minute drive from Albury), offering the benefits of a relaxed regional lifestyle while still being close to major amenities.
About the role Turning concepts into practical solutions, you will produce detailed layouts and fabrication drawings. You’ll be responsible for translating concept designs into accurate, build-ready documentation for both internal and external projects. Projects will involve diverse customers from industries such as agricultural, commercial storage and handling, feedlots, mining, and plastics.
What you'll be doing
Develop general layouts and civil designs from project concept using Inventor and AutoCAD
Produce detailed drawings for light fabrication, civil, and structural components
Interpret concept designs and translate them into detailed engineering documentation
Ensure design proposals adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Maintain design records and ensure version control across projects
Create shop floor drawings as required to support manufacturing and installation teams
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure design intent is met
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in Drafting, Design or Engineering Drafting. Professional certifications in AutoCAD/Inventor preferred
3+ years’ experience in in a design/drafting role within manufacturing, construction, or related industries
Proficient in Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault and familiar with civil and structural drafting standards
Sound understanding of fabrication processes and materials
Good understanding and application of drafting and detailing methods, populate BOMs, and check drawings
Good understanding and ability to apply the concepts of Safety in Design.
Clear client focus, strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, effective communicator with a collaborative mindset
