This is a VOLUNTEER position at this point, and only 2-3 hours per week right now. The Executive Director plays a pivotal leadership role within Ripple 2 Wave Foundation, responsible for overseeing programs, partnerships, and community engagement within their designated region or initiative. Reporting to the Vice President, the Executive Director ensures that operations, outreach, and impact strategies are executed effectively, aligned with organizational goals, and responsive to community needs. This role is ideal for a mission-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, service, and storytelling.

Through a diverse portfolio of outreach programs; including youth empowerment, environmental projects, senior and veteran support, animal advocacy, and homelessness outreach, we strive to transform compassion into measurable change.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Program Oversight

  • Lead the implementation of programs and outreach efforts within assigned region
  • Build, supervise and support volunteer "Steering Committee"
  • Ensure activities are aligned with organizational mission and strategic priorities
  • Work closely with the Vice President to develop and implement operational plans
  • Provide regular updates, data reports, and insight on impact, needs, and risks
  • Collaborate with fellow Executive Directors to ensure cross-program cohesion

Community Engagement

  • Represent Ripple 2 Wave Foundation in community partnerships, coalitions, and public forums
  • Build and nurture relationships with schools, community resources, nonprofits, and volunteers
  • Ensure programs are community-informed, culturally responsive, and inclusive

Team Development

  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture rooted in equity and collaboration
  • Provide mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of volunteers

Operations & Compliance

  • Manage regional or program budgets in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, grant requirements, and reporting deadlines
  • Participate in strategic planning, fundraising, and event planning as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in nonprofit leadership, program management, or community development preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated success in team supervision and cross-functional coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for equity, grassroots impact, and community-based solutions
