Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing growth and development initiatives for designated strategic service lines within the Gulf Coast Division.
In partnership with division strategic service line vice presidents and the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the role will drive physician alignment, program development, network development, network optimization, and elective and emergent growth.
What you will do in the role:
  • Analyze and execute on physician alignment initiatives to grow HCA’s share of target physician business
  • Develop standard reporting and evaluation criteria to analyze new and same-store performance across physicians, programs, and the network
  • Partner with development, strategy, and operations leaders on the identification, analysis, execution, and ramp of new service line programs
  • Support the advancement of new services within existing programs
  • Work with division and hospital leaders to advance network development efforts including M&A, de novo, facility expansion, and others
  • Support network optimization initiatives across designated service lines to enhance patient care and continuity across the system
  • Promote and execute the exchange of best practices and identify key opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee the development and distribution of monthly service line performance reports for division and facility leadership teams
  • Develop and present service line growth insights to division and facility leadership teams, providing key performance metrics and growth opportunities
  • Facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders across the division to drive service line initiatives
  • Support development leaders in the execution of strategic planning to ensure alignment of service line and hospital strategies
  • Promote cross-market physician collaboration to strengthen service line integration and performance
  • Work closely with service line leaders, CDO, Physician Services, sales, and facility leadership to align physician recruitment and practice operations with strategic goals
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, finance, accounting, project management, business administration or related field with 5-7 years of relevant experience, or MHA or MBA with 3-5 years of relevant experience
