Job Summary

The Director of Business Engagement provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all department programming, corporate partnership initiatives, and student internships. This role is responsible for connecting the Parker College of Business with its global alumni network and the broader business community to drive professional collaboration, student opportunities, and institutional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for all alumni programming, corporate partnerships, and student internship initiatives for the Parker College of Business.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a global network of alumni through regular, direct communication, including operations, programs, and special events.
  • Manage collaborative programming for the Parker College Dean's Advisory Board and the Young Alumni Board, including the agendas and communication with both boards.
  • Proactively identify, research, and secure new corporate partnerships, including sponsorships and internship opportunities.
  • Manage student enrollment for credit-bearing internships and oversee the process of assigning course credit; supervise the administrative assistant who supports this process.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Career and Professional Development to post positions and prepare students for internships.
  • Lead the execution of major college events, including the annual Parker College Gala and the Corporate Culture Speaker Series.
  • Align with stakeholders such as the Business Innovation Group and the Office of Research to maximize institutional impact.
  • Direct and supervise event planning staff while managing budgets for alumni relations and business engagement.
  • Represent the University and the College at various professional conferences and networking events.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Required Experience: Three (3) or more years of related work experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Supervisory experience.

Proposed Salary

$60,617 - $77,306

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
