Overview
We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead all financial operations for a high-performing hotel that consistently exceeds financial expectations. This role offers a unique opportunity for a strong Assistant Director of Finance or Senior Finance Leader ready to step into their first DOF position, with the support of an experienced team and a well-established operational foundation.
The Director of Finance will serve as a strategic business partner to hotel leadership, driving profitability, ensuring compliance, and elevating financial performance. This is a highly visible role ideal for someone looking to expand their leadership impact within hospitality finance, hotel accounting, and financial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of hotel financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and internal controls
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support revenue growth and profitability
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and hospitality financial standards
- Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to drive strategic decision-making
- Manage and mentor a team of 2 in a decentralized accounting environment
- Strengthen financial processes and reporting accuracy across departments
- Support audits, capital planning, and long-term financial strategy
- Proven, financially successful property with strong ownership support

- Exposure to full-cycle hotel finance operations and strategic planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel finance, hospitality accounting, or financial leadership
- Experience in an Assistant Director of Finance, Controller, or similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Understanding of hospitality accounting systems and internal controls
- Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor team members
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
