Job Overview – Senior Tax Manager

Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000/year + bonus

Location: New Castle County, DE

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Tax Manager in New Castle County, DE for our client, supporting tax provision, financial reporting, and global tax operations within a multinational environment. In this role, you will lead tax provision activities, ensure ASC 740 compliance, and oversee reporting across multiple entities. You will utilize OneSource, SAP, and Excel to support accurate reporting and improve tax processes.

Responsibilities as the Senior Tax Manager

  • Tax Provision Leadership: Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision processes, including current and deferred tax calculations and effective tax rate analysis.
  • ASC 740 & Technical Accounting: Manage technical tax areas including valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and related analyses.
  • Global Tax Coordination: Review and consolidate tax reporting across multiple entities while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting & Disclosures: Partner with Accounting to prepare tax disclosures, reconciliations, and financial statement reporting.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Oversee tax provision systems and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications for the Senior Tax Manager

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, and a Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of tax accounting experience required, with public accounting and multinational corporate tax experience preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expert knowledge of ASC 740 including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and international tax considerations is required.
  • Technical Skills: Hands‑on experience with OneSource Tax Provision or similar tax software is required, alongside experience working within ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while mentoring team members and collaborating across functions.
