Patient Services Representative III-Floater
The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III has direct contact with patients in a variety of settings including doctors offices, emergency rooms, diagnostic laboratories, and other patient care areas. In some regions, the PSR III may be responsible for performing clinical and phlebotomy duties to support our clinical research initiatives. The PSR III works in a fast-paced environment with patients who may be concerned, and sometimes afraid or in distress. It is by this contact that the PSR III can make a difference in the lives of our patients as they come to define their relationship with this critical aspect of their health care. The PSR III is responsible for patient service activities such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and obtaining necessary patient information to facilitate the phlebotomists in the drawing process. The PSR III also performs general laboratory support functions as needed in the lab preparing, processing, and shipping clinical specimens for testing.
