Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance Assistant
Job Category: Clerical Location: Cumming, GA 30040, USA Full-Time, Hybrid Description
Client Management and Support Input customer applications into the agency management system from the carrier rating applications. Assemble application(s), photos, appraisals, etc. to be submitted to the insurance carriers for policy issuance. Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing and coverages. Ensure that these items are delivered and/or mailed to clients. Advises service representative if premium increase is 15% or higher. Monitor renewal process by verifying all policies listed on the expiration list have been renewed, rewritten, etc. Issue certificates per information given by the account manager and send the issued certificates. Issue renewal certificates. Receive phone calls from clients and companies for certificates of insurance and evidence of property forms and issue according to the agency's procedures. Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items. Handle carrier interfacing per agency standards. Attach and file in AMS. Update computer for cancellations, reinstatements. Send out form letters to clients on final cancellations. Input past due notices into activities. Follow-up on photo requests, requests for additional information, etc. Handle routine correspondence between carriers, agency and insured. Miscellaneous Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines. Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner. Distribute faxes and emails sent to the support mailbox/fax line. Update AMS with activities or suspense's. Perform special projects at management's request. Requirements Minimum 5+ years of Commercial and/or Personal Lines experience Must have strong organizational skills Must have the ability to multi-task, analyze and prioritize information when working with producers, company, and agency personnel.
