Vice President - Distressed Debt & Special Sits

I’m working with a fast-growing New York-based investment platform. They’re building a high-impact investment team and are looking for a VP / Senior VP to lead complex transactions and help shape the firm’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investment transactions from sourcing through execution, including special situations, structured credit, and public/private crossover opportunities.
- Perform rigorous financial, credit, and market analysis to support investment decisions.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to help define and execute the firm’s evolving investment strategy.
- Monitor portfolio companies, identify value-creation opportunities, and support exits or refinancings.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while contributing to a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture.
Qualifications
- 6–12+ years of experience in credit investing, special situations, distressed assets, structured finance, or related investment areas.
- Demonstrated track record in evaluating, executing, and monitoring complex transactions.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities; thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a hands-on approach in shaping a growing investment platform.
