Job Title: Videographer & Short-Form Content Editor Location: New York City (in-person required) The Role BSSN Productions is hiring one NYC-based videographer and short-form content editor to support a digital street-interview show launching in April. This role involves filming content in-person 1–3 times per week and editing short-form social media content on a rolling deadline schedule. We are specifically looking for someone who understands what drives high-performing content on platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok in today’s landscape, and who has experience executing content that captures attention and drives viewership. This is a short-term, part-time trial opportunity with the potential to grow into a larger role as the show grows. Responsibilities Film street-style content using a DJI Pocket Osmo and external microphone setup Ensure high-quality video, lighting, and audio during in-person shoots Edit short-form content (15–60 seconds) optimized for social platforms Add captions, pacing, b-roll, and structure aligned with performance goals Collaborate on content direction, hooks, and overall strategy with a focus on maximizing engagement and reach Who You Are Deeply familiar with short-form content and current social media trends Strong understanding of what drives attention (hooks, pacing, sound design, visual structure) Experience filming and editing content that has performed well on social platforms Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software Comfortable filming in public settings and capturing real-time interactions Confident communicating with people on the street when needed Reliable, communicative, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment Preferred (not required) Experience growing a personal or brand social media account Examples of content that has reached high view counts or strong engagement Scheduling This is a flexible, part-time role during the trial period. Filming schedules will be coordinated in advance. Here’s an example of what one week’s schedule may include but are not limited to: Weekday evening shoots (ex: 7–9 PM in Manhattan) Weekend afternoon shoots (ex: 1–3:30 PM in outer boroughs) Editing can be completed on your own schedule, but must meet 1–2 deadlines per week depending on content volume. Compensation $20 per hour Approximately 7–15 hours per week Performance-based incentives will be offered based on content performance and overall account growth.
