The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Surgical Institute is actively seeking a highly accomplished and dedicated Surgical Oncologist to join our esteemed team in Pittsburgh, PA. This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a leading-edge surgical oncology program, providing advanced surgical expertise within a distinguished medical center.
The specific expectations for this role are to assume leadership of the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence, to lead our surgical program in pancreatic surgery, and to develop a robust investigative portfolio in pancreatic cancer. The individual recruited for this position will be a leader within the Division of Surgical Oncology and work closely with the Division Chief and Institute Chair to advance the networks goals to establish a leading center in innovative care for patients with pancreatic cancer.
This position is based at Allegheny General Hospital, our flagship quaternary care facility, where you will manage a diverse and challenging caseload, fostering continuous professional development. You will integrate into a highly collaborative environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgical oncologists, Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs), and dedicated support staff, united by a commitment to superior patient outcomes. An academic appointment with Drexel University is available for qualified and interested candidates.
Job Qualifications
- Robotic skills in pancreatic surgery
- Record of clinical or translational investigation in pancreatic cancer
- Institutional leadership and graduate medical education experience strongly preferred
- MD or DO Degree
- Completion of an accredited general surgery residency and Surgical Oncology fellowship program
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Pennsylvania Licensure in good standing prior to hire
