Freddie Mac is seeking an accomplished Operational Risk Senior Manager to join our Single Family Portfolio and Servicing (SFPS) Division, managing a team of risk practitioners as they execute risk and control activities, as well as managing issues and events. This is a great opportunity to shape risk management practices in the Division, influence senior leaders, and build a strong risk culture within a team. Our Impact The SFPSRisk and Control team supports the Division to ensure risks and controls are properly identified, managed and assessed. compliance with corporate policies and standards and by supporting department leadership in the drive and execution of strategy and objectives to help ensure efficient and effective execution of processes and controls.
Your Impact The SFPS Operational Risk Senior Manager will be responsible for leading a team of risk and control leads working with the businesses to prevent significant FHFA and IA issues through identifying control deficiencies, gaps in processes and other potential regulatory concerns and driving a culture of issue self-identification and remediation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 10+ years related experience and 5+ years of managing people
5+ years in operational risk and issue management, comfortable in an environment with rapid change
Proven leadership success in prior roles and ability to build partnerships across stakeholders
Ability to act as a mentor and demonstrate strong thought leadership, with the ability to communicate at an executive level
Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively across all Divisions, while being flexible and adaptable
Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills; self-starter and bold problem solver with demonstrated ambition to solve new challenges with growing responsibility
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Drive risk culture throughout the Division

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $153,000 - $229,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
