
Car Detailer/ Dealership Porter (IL)

Job Description
Reports To:
Sales Manager
Full - Time or Part-Time Position
M-Sat (8:30AM-8PM) Hours varying within that time window
Summary The Detail Porter is responsible for supporting the Sales Consultants and Service Department by cleaning and preparing new and used vehicles for customer delivery. This role ensures each vehicle meets dealership standards for appearance and cleanliness while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Duties
Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
Applies wax to the auto body, and wipes or buffs the surface.
Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and devices.
Fills vehicles with fuel.
Keeps the work area neat and clean.
Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments
No prior experience or training
Must have a clean and valid driver’s license
