EVS Heavy Porter - Seasonal
Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City, NJ, United States
The EVS Heavy Porter reports to the EVS Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy‑duty equipment, carpet shampooing, moving of furniture, and other tasks necessary.
Position Responsibilities
Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned area
Scrub and buff tile and wood floor
Strip and wax tile floor
Maintain elevator cleanliness to include elevator tracks, polish doors and clean mirrors
Clean escalator steps using escalator cleaning machine
Essential Functions
Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast‑paced environment
Promptly report maintenance issues with equipment or property to the supervisor
Must be able to work holidays and weekends
Must be able to push/pull up to 75 pounds
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
Operate hand trucks and flat bed carts to move equipment to assigned areas
Physically capable of using the required equipment and / or tools specific to position
Must demonstrate good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Previous experience is helpful
·Must be knowledgeable in the operation of heavy equipment
· Ability to effectively communicate in English

Free Meal while on shift
Pay rate: $22.00 /hr
