The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural & Interior Designer to join our Interior Design team. This mid‑level role is ideal for a creative, technically proficient, and highly organized designer who thrives in a collaborative studio environment. You will play a key role in the conceptualization, development, and execution of projects across all phases—from early ideation to construction administration. The ideal candidate is eager to join a small, growing team that is actively shaping its identity, and is looking to grow professionally with the studio over the long term.

Main Responsibilities Design

Support production in conceptual design phases, including mood boards, image research, material palettes, 3D models, renderings, and presentation decks

Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and a refined aesthetic sensibility throughout the design process

Participate in FF&E selection, sourcing, and specification, contributing to the development of cohesive and innovative interior environments

Technical Coordination

Coordinate comprehensive technical drawings, including document sets, with the architectural teams and consultants.

Assist in the production of FF&E specifications and material schedules.

Support construction administration services, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and documentation as needed

Ensure design intent is accurately translated through coordination with consultants, vendors, and fabricators

Collaboration with Team Members

Work closely with teammates and across departments to promote a culture of design excellence

Collaborate holistically with internal architecture teams to integrate interiors seamlessly with the broader project vision

Attend meetings at vendor showrooms and participate in occasional industry events as needed to support design development and maintain industry awareness

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in Rhino for 3D Modeling

Proficient in rendering tools such as Enscape, D5, VRay, Corona or other high‑quality rendering software

Proficient with AI tools for post‑production visual work

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)

Ability to create persuasive and visually compelling presentation materials

High level of attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and creativity

Ability to work across both Architecture and Interior Design disciplines

Our Ideal Candidate has the following

Immediate availability

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field

3‑6 years of professional experience in an architecture firm

Exceptional design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, creative design solutions, and built work

Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced studio environment with evolving timelines and priorities

A collaborative spirit with a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work

Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Compensation The rate for this position generally is $70,000 - $105,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
