Job Description The

Mortgage Loan Processor

is primarily responsible for managing mortgage loan files after initial underwriting review. In some cases, processors may receive files prior to initial underwriting and are responsible for preparing and submitting them for review. This role ensures all conditions are met, documentation is reviewed and complete, and compliance standards are upheld prior to closing. The processor serves as a key liaison between borrowers, realtors, vendors, and internal departments, maintaining proactive communication and managing timelines to meet closing and lock expiration dates. The processor must adhere to Regulation B guidelines and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.

How You'll Spend Your Time

You will be monitoring the files in process for 30-day activity status to insure that Regulation B Guidelines are enforced on all files. Including final evaluation after complex analysis of completed application package and preparing for approval.

You will input all appraisal information into the computer system to ensure that the underwriting department has all information to review and approve appraisal.

You’ll use your tech savvy to navigate multiple systems to access information.

Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a High School Diploma and 1+ years of directly related experience in mortgage loan processing is preferred

or an equivalent combination of education and experience . Experience in customer service, administrative support, or financial services is a plus.

Basic knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (RESPA, Reg B, HMDA, FHA, VA Conventional, FHLMC, FNMA, Bond, Native American, Rural Development, and others as offered)

Basic knowledge of mortgage loan underwriting criteria.

Basic knowledge of Compliance guidelines

Ability to type 50-60 wpm

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Excellent organizational skills

Eagerness and willingness to learn
