
Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Manager to drive growth within the ESCO channel. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with ESCO partners, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning the company’s solutions within performance-based energy projects.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the ESCO ecosystem, energy efficiency solutions, and consultative sales processes tied to long-cycle, technical deals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy focused on ESCO partners and performance contracting opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across ESCO organizations (executives, project developers, engineers, and procurement teams)
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities aligned with the company’s solutions and capabilities
Collaborate with internal technical, engineering, and project delivery teams to support solution development and proposal efforts
Position the company as a trusted partner within ESCO-driven projects, including retrofits, infrastructure upgrades, and energy-as-a-service offerings
Track and manage pipeline activity, forecasting accurately and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and funding mechanisms impacting ESCOs (e.g., performance contracting, P3, C-PACE, EaaS)
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
5+ years of sales or business development experience within the energy services, ESCO, or building technologies space
Proven track record of selling into or partnering with ESCOs
Strong understanding of performance contracting, energy efficiency solutions, and project financing structures
Experience with complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel within the assigned region (approximately 30–50%)
Preferred Experience
Experience selling solutions such as HVAC systems, building automation, energy efficiency upgrades, distributed energy resources, or infrastructure modernization
Familiarity with energy-as-a-service (EaaS) models and third-party financing structures
Existing relationships within major ESCO organizations
