
Director of Operations

Seeking a hands‑on Director of Operations to lead daily manufacturing activities and drive performance in a fast‑paced production environment.
This is a direct‑hire role with an anticipated schedule of 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while meeting cost and delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets
Translate business goals into actionable operational plans
Manage labor planning, production schedules, and capacity
Drive continuous improvement using Lean/6S principles
Oversee equipment, facilities, and tooling maintenance
Partner with finance to manage costs, labor efficiency, and inventory performance
Ensure effective material flow and inventory accuracy
Collaborate cross‑functionally to support production and resolve issues
Support S&OP planning and communicate operational risks and constraints
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent quality standards
Lead, mentor, and develop plant leadership (6–8 direct reports)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in any field
Manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in large assembly (e.g., vehicles, trailers)
Experience leading cross‑functional teams; matrixed environment a plus
Strong knowledge of operations, labor planning, and materials management
Solid financial and cost‑management understanding
Effective communicator with a hands‑on, accountable leadership style
