GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Youth Residential Program Director (one assigned to each cottage) alongside the Clinical Program Director will collaboratively and comprehensively maintain all day-to-day operations for the Community Diversion program and its residents. Creating an effective program culture is one of the most important roles of this position, and the Residential Program Director will manage all milieu and culture related tasks. Maintaining safety and security being the other primary responsibility of this job, the Residential Program Director will ensure staffing is efficient and adequate and programming can always remain functional. The Residential PD will also collaborate with the Clinical PD to assure fidelity is observed with DBT, and staff learning and education is ongoing and effective.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or similar field with at least 5 years of residential program experience –
Required
Supervisory Experience is preferred, but not required
On-call availability and ability to respond in person when special incidents or crisis occur –
Required
A valid driver’s license with clean driving record –
Required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Co-facilitate the weekly Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting with the Clinical Program Director and assure there is clear and consistent communication between all members of the team (APRN, Nurse, milieu staff, Case Managers, and JBCSSD).
Collaborate with Clinical Program Director for the completion and submission of Incident Reports
Spearhead the recruitment and onboarding of new staff and manage disciplinary action and performance improvement planning with Clinical Program Director of staff as warranted
Coordinate with CJR’s Training Coordinator to request trainings as needed for staff as well as maintain annual training requirements as determined by the JBCSSD contract
Collaborate with Clinical Program Director to understand treatment needs and goals of all CD residents; attend meetings with stakeholders as they arise due to client behaviors/challenges in the program and/or potential removals
Supervise program staff by providing direction, coaching/support, input and feedback
Complete scheduling with Shift Supervisors
Manage time off requests and program call outsComplete DATIS timesheet approvals
Act as PREA Manager and collaborate with CJR PREA Coordinator on all training requirements and investigation matters as needed
Provide support to milieu staff in the facilitation and implementation of DBT
Supervise the completion of residential paperwork and CCAS audit requirements; manage the pipe system to assure the appropriate supervision of youth; conduct camera reviews as needed
Management of all Flex Funds requests and documentation
Function as a role model and resource to staff ensuring staff receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with program standards
Incorporate and reinforce cultural competency, gender responsivity and trauma-informed principles into all aspects of the program
Behave Ethically: Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
Focus on Client Needs: Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within program parameters
Ability to communicate, cooperate and serve people from all cultural identities with respect, professionalism, integrity and fairness in a manner that recognizes the individuality of each person
Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance program effectiveness
Regular and consistent attendance

RATE OF PAY & SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
This position has on call responsibilities, and all Residential Directors may need to flex their daily schedule (start later/leave later) depending on the needs of the program, residents, staffing, and in the event of emergencies or unplanned crisis.
Annual salary of $75,000
Position has a $20/hour per-diem rate for hours worked outside of the salary position at the discretion of the Director of Residential Services.
