We are looking to add an experienced parts consultant to our team in Logan. The Parts Consultant is responsible for assisting customers in selecting, purchasing, and ordering parts and accessories for vehicles. This role involves a deep knowledge of automotive parts, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring that customers receive the correct parts for their needs. The consultant will work closely with service departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transactions and high-quality service.

Pay Range: $3500-$4500 Per Month Depending on Experience

Essential job responsibilities: Customer Service

Assist customers with identifying, selecting, and purchasing the right parts for their vehicles.

Provide detailed product information, including specifications, warranties, and compatibility with customer vehicles.

Offer advice on suitable alternatives when specific parts are unavailable or out of stock.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Parts Identification and Ordering

Use online catalogs, databases, or other resources to identify and order specific parts and accessories.

Ensure that parts ordered match the specifications of the customer's vehicle.

Follow up on special orders and backorders, ensuring that customers are notified of expected delivery dates.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and ensure timely reordering of parts.

Conduct regular inventory checks to avoid stock discrepancies and ensure parts are properly stored.

Organize parts on the sales floor and in the storage area for easy accessibility.

Sales and Product Promotion

Promote parts and accessories to customers, offering upsells or recommendations based on customer needs.

Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives set by the dealership or parts department.

Stay informed about promotions, discounts, and new products to relay this information to customers.

Collaboration with Other Departments

Work closely with the service department to ensure parts are available for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Assist in tracking parts used in repairs and ensuring proper documentation for billing.

Communicate with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.

Order Processing and Delivery

Accurately process customer orders, handle payment transactions, and prepare parts for delivery or pickup.

Ensure timely delivery of parts, coordinating with customers for pickup or ensuring parts are delivered to repair shops or service centers.
