About Us: AI Living Lab is a hands‑on innovation space where technology, agriculture, and living systems come together to solve real-world problems. We operate a full ecosystem that includes hydroponics, aquaponics, and live reptiles and fish, allowing participants to see how plants, water, and aquatic life all depend on each other. Our public water testing lab gives the community free access to test and understand their water, while our monitoring systems track real-time conditions such as pH, nutrients, and overall water health. We focus on practical STEM education by teaching youth and adults how to use AI, environmental sensors, and sustainable growing methods in ways that directly impact their lives. This is not theory—it’s a working model where people learn by doing, managing real systems, caring for reptiles and fish, and understanding how everything is connected.
Position Overview: STEM is Child’s Play – AI Living Lab is seeking a Social Media Website Coordinator who can take ownership of our online presence and make it consistent, active, and professional. This role manages our website and social media platforms to ensure our programs, events, and community impact are clearly communicated and easy to access. This is not a “post once in a while” role. We need someone who can organize content, keep things updated, and make the organization look as strong online as it is in real life.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update the organization’s website with current programs, events, and announcements
Coordinate and schedule social media posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
Create simple, clear, and engaging content including posts, images, and short videos

Ensure branding, messaging, and tone remain consistent across all platforms
Monitor engagement, respond to messages, and help build an online community
Work directly with leadership to highlight impact, partnerships, and success stories
Organize photos, videos, and content so nothing gets lost or forgotten
Spanish speaking students are encouraged to apply because we want everything to be bilingual. WORK STUDY STUDENTS ONLY!
Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half‑time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Required Skills
Experience managing websites (Wix)
Experience with social media management and scheduling tools
Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and simply
Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
Ability to stay organized and follow through without constant supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with animals, plants or community organizations
Interest in STEM, agriculture, or community development
Basic video editing skills
