We are seeking a creative and motivated
Part Time Summer Marketing Assistant
for a short-term summer project, primarily assisting with the staging of our residential units to prepare them for photo, video, and branding updates. The role will also play a key part in planning and curating social media content.
The primary responsibilities for this short-term position are listed below:
Support the JSM brand by staging home furnishings and décor in residential units
Assist with photo and video production as it relates to our residential units
Plan, edit, and publish content for various social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) under the discretion and guidance of the Marketing Department.
Organize and maintain staging props and inventory
Coordinate items for outreach events and manage promotional inventory
Partner with the JSM Marketing and Residential teams for turnover-related projects
Serve as a brand ambassador for JSM Living
Our ideal candidate will have:
Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Knowledge of Canva
Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb several flights of stairs
Comfortable taking photos and being in front of a camera
Must be able to take direction and implement accordingly
Experience or interest in interior design
Experience in social media management and content creation is preferred but not required
Advertising, marketing, or communications-related degree seekers preferred but not required
A valid driver’s license is required
The timeline for this project is approximately from June 1st to August 21st, with the ability to work 6-10 hours a week split between Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 pm – 3:30 pm at our office in Champaign, IL. The rate of pay is $16/hour.
