About the role As a Consulting Principal, Life Sciences Commercial Omnichannel, you will make an impact by leading strategic and operational transformation initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across the commercial value chain. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences Commercial team and work collaboratively with practice leaders, multidisciplinary teams, and clients.

In this role, you will:

Lead consulting engagements focused on commercial omnichannel strategy, customer engagement transformation, and digital commercialization across brands, portfolios, and markets.

Advise clients on improving HCP engagement effectiveness, customer experience, channel mix optimization, and promotional ROI.

Design and implement future-ready commercial operating models integrating field force, digital, remote, and non-personal promotion channels.

Enable personalized, insight-led engagement using customer segmentation, journey orchestration, and next-best-action frameworks.

Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics, AI, and digital platforms to enhance commercial decision‑making and execution.

What you must have to be considered

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

14–18 years of experience in Life Sciences consulting, pharmaceutical commercial operations, digital marketing, or omnichannel transformation.

Demonstrated expertise in commercial strategy, omnichannel engagement, or digital commercialization.

Proven experience leading complex consulting engagements and senior client relationships.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Veeva CRM, SFMC, Adobe, etc.)

Advanced analytics, AI, and next‑best‑action frameworks

Regulatory, compliance, and promotional governance (MLR, consent, privacy)

Compensation

$165,000 - $190,000

This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
