Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health and proudly joining Northwell Health, offers an excellent opportunity for a Director of Advanced Endoscopy. This is an opportunity to join a long‑established teaching program that is growing and expanding general and advanced GI services. The team includes nine physicians and two advanced practitioners, with opportunity for a faculty appointment. Procedures are performed in a state‑of‑the‑art brand‑new endoscopy suite. The Gastroenterology Fellowship is a Yale University School of Medicine Level II affiliated, three‑year program leading to ABIM certification in Gastroenterology. Norwalk is located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County next to Westchester County in New York.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in Gastroenterology with 4th‑year training in Advanced Endoscopy. Post‑fellowship training experience is preferred. Compensation includes base salary plus incentives and allowances for CME and dues expenses; ten days of CME are provided for full‑time candidates.
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. It is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for outdoor and indoor recreational activities. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in the area. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
