Our trucks are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.**The Director, Distribution – Aftermarket is a critical leadership role within the Oshkosh Vocational segment, responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of all distribution and warehousing operations across our market-leading brands: McNeilus, Oshkosh S-Series, IMT, Pierce, MAXIMETAL, Oshkosh Airport Products, and Frontline Communications. This role ensures our purpose-built products and parts are delivered reliably, efficiently, and safely, supporting communities and customers in their mission-critical applications.This leader will align distribution strategy with segment growth goals, enabling scale, resilience, and customer satisfaction through optimized warehouse networks, performance-driven logistics, and modern systems and processes. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative thinker who fosters trust and drives results.**YOUR IMPACT:**These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:**Strategic Leadership*** Develop and lead the long-term strategy for distribution and warehousing for all Oshkosh Vocational businesses.* Align distribution operations with segment-wide aftermarket growth and customer support initiatives.* Lead cross-functional strategic planning with Supply Chain, Customer Support, Sales, IT, and Operations.**Distribution Network Optimization*** Design, refine, and implement distribution models (e.g., regional DCs, third-party logistics, cross-dock facilities) to increase reach, reduce cost, and improve service levels.* Lead site selection, facility layout, and capacity planning to support multi-brand aftermarket growth.**Operational Excellence*** Oversee day-to-day performance of warehousing and distribution centers, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.* Develop KPIs and dashboards to track performance and service metrics.* Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement practices across distribution operations.**Technology and Innovation*** Partner with IT and Digital teams to modernize systems (e.g., WMS, ERP integration, automation tools).* Explore new technologies that improve speed, accuracy, and visibility across the supply chain.**Team and Vendor Leadership*** Build and lead a high-performing team of distribution professionals.* Manage 3PL relationships and distribution-related vendor contracts.**Safety and Compliance*** Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines.* Champion a culture of safety across all distribution operations.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.* 10+ years of progressive experience in distribution, warehousing, or supply chain leadership.**STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:*** Proven success leading complex, multi-site distribution operations.* Experience in aftermarket, parts, or industrial products environments preferred.* Master’s degree (MBA or related field) preferred.* Experience in purpose-built or specialty vehicle markets is a plus.* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.* Expertise in warehouse management systems (e.g., Infor, SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder).**Pay Range:**$136,800.00 - $253,200.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
