Title of Position

Associate Director for Campus Visitation

Reporting to the Campus Director of Admission (RH), the Associate Director for Campus Visitation recruits, reviews admission applications, and enrolls traditional first‑year, full‑time undergraduate students. This position will communicate information about the University experience to students, parents, counselors, and other influencers and manage a recruiting territory with additional responsibilities focused around the planning and execution of events. The role includes coordinating the efforts of an event team as well as mobilizing and overseeing the staff during high volume, complex campus, and virtual events. This position requires frequent travel and evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions

Manage recruitment territory, review admission applications, and enroll traditional first‑year full‑time undergraduate students.

Create new and refine existing on‑campus and virtual event programming.

Execute events at varying levels of complexity (tours to Open Houses) for visitor groups from 20‑4,000 participants.

Execute events in collaboration with campus visit team, student volunteer leads.

Collate and execute collaboration with managers of the team in execution of programming.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with team members, other members of the University community, and student volunteers.

Manage recruitment territory measured by qualitative and quantitative indicators such as building relationships, innovative travel/recruitment strategies, managing volume independently, reviewing market‑based enrollment trends, and employing fiscal and time efficiencies.

Execute domestic travel for a maximum of 4 weeks per cycle.

Develop a highly nuanced knowledge of university, mission, academic programs, and admission messaging.

Represent Office of Admission at college panels and other special off‑campus events hosted by the high‑school counseling community.

Present at local, regional, or national conferences.

Review and process admission applications, including: meeting reading benchmarks and adhering to holistic standards; providing proactive customer service to families and students; assisting staff to meet goals; being flexible and professional during high‑volume activities; possessing solid critical thinking; prioritizing admission goals within the context of institutional strategic plans; communicating effectively in individual settings and group presentations; actively participating in staff meetings and retreats.

Management Responsibilities May provide peer‑level coordination or subject‑matter guidance to colleagues performing similar work and/or student, part‑time workers, including helping organize tasks, clarify priorities, or review work for quality or consistency.

Additional Functions Represents the Office of Admission at college panels and other special off‑campus events hosted by the high‑school counseling community.

Presents at local, regional, or national conferences.

Actively participates in staff meetings and retreats.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree.

Minimum of five years’ experience in Undergraduate Admission.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Adept at public speaking.

Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to travel locally and nationally.

Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree.

Event management experience.

Knowledge of Fordham and/or experience in a higher education setting.

Familiarity with Technologies SLATE or similar admissions CRM.

Advanced quantitative and analytical acumen.

Ability to read and synthesize information within compressed time frames and for a high volume of application information.

Minimum Starting Salary $85,000

Maximum Starting Salary $90,000

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
