We’re looking for a Director of Product Development to shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of **Listed Rates** clearing products and services. Experience across OTC Rates is a strong plus. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle—from market discovery and business cases, to venue‐to‐CCP integration, delivery with engineering, operational readiness, and commercial adoption with Sales and Onboarding. You’ll report to the **Head of Product Development, SwapClear & Listed Rates**. (No direct reports on day one.)### What you’ll do* **Own the Listed Rates re‐platform** through launch: define scope and requirements, maintain acceptance criteria and traceability, coordinate readiness, and guide launch.* **Set the next‐phase roadmap**: expand contract coverage, improve client experience, strengthen risk and margin features, and scale for resilience and performance. Contribute to product strategy for the wider OTC franchise and support the full customer experience.* **Grow adoption**: partner with customer facing teams to progress new clearing memberships, reduce onboarding friction, and articulate a clear value proposition.* **Design the venue to CCP boundary**: steward functional/technical flows (trade capture, allocations, give‐ups/take‐ups, corrections, exercise/assignment, settlement) with venues and internal teams.* **Run strong product governance**: keep backlogs transparent, priorities evidence‐based, and delivery aligned to risk, control, and change standards.* **Champion service quality**: collaborate with Operations/Run to ensure SLAs, tooling, controls, and client support are fit for purpose and scale as volumes grow.* **Represent the product**: capture market feedback from trading desks, clearing members, and ISVs; translate insights into clear, data‐driven decisions.### What you’ll bring* Deep experience in **Listed Rates derivatives**—contract mechanics, lifecycle events, and post‐trade flows for futures and options on rates.* Desirable: **OTC Rates clearing** exposure (product mechanics, valuation and risk, member/client use cases).* Practical knowledge of **venue to CCP integrations** (messages/flows, reference data, average price, block workflows, reconciliation).* A track record delivering sophisticated platform changes or large‐scale product initiatives in **market infrastructure, exchanges, CCPs, or Tier‐1 institutions**.* Clear, calm stakeholder leadership across **engineering, change, operations, sales, and external partners**.* Product craft: prioritization, dependency management, measurable outcomes, and comfort using data to make decisions and owning the detail.* Nice to have: familiarity with **fintech infrastructure** (e.g., FIS, ION).### Background* Typically **5+ years** in derivatives product development or adjacent roles (market infrastructure, clearing, or front/middle office).* Degree or equivalent experience in **Finance, Economics, Engineering** or related field preferred; advanced credentials welcome.### What success looks like in your first 12 months* **Re‐platform delivered** to agreed scope and schedule with the right controls and readiness in place.* **Phase‐two roadmap approved** through governance, with measurable client value and risk/control outcomes.* **Membership growth**: prospects advanced to signed agreements and live activity against targets.* **Venue to CCP KPIs** established and improving (timeliness, reconciliation health, exception rates).### Working arrangementsThis role is **New York‐based** with a **hybrid** schedule. Core hours align to **U.S. Eastern Time**. On‐site collaboration days and flexible working follow local guidance and team needs.### **Career Stage:**Director**Compensation/Benefits Information:**LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits.
