The Position
The Senior NextGen AI Trends & Partnerships Director is responsible for exploring and defining how AI and digital disruption as macro trends influences business models, products, systems, and the manner in which the organization interacts with clients. The Expert will assess emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms and potential AI business opportunities, considering local and global aspects in terms of how services will be utilized, perceived and adopted across a wide range of differing social and economic environments.
Relationships
The Senior NextGen AI Trends & Partnerships Director will report to Chief AI Officer, GVP Enterprise AI of the respective area. This position is expected to be fully remote.
Essential Functions
Drive Strategic Digital Innovation and Transformation
With an external focus, be on top of market trends and the latest market movements within AI - and deliver this input to the organization
Identify and assess AI technologies, and platforms to determine their potential impact on business models, products, and client interactions
Act as a thought leader, providing expert insights and guidance on AI initiatives across the organization
Support senior leadership with identifying the right partners, and establishing the needed business cases to secure funding for pursuing high‑impact AI opportunities
Provide Expert Advisory to Senior Leadership
Offer specialized advice to EVP management teams on complex AI transformation challenges and opportunities
Develop and communicate actionable recommendations to senior management, ensuring alignment with broader organizational strategies
Represent the organization as a recognized expert in AI innovation during internal and external engagements
Foster International External Collaboration and Partnerships
Establish and maintain strategic collaborations with external partners to drive AI innovation and leverage global expertise
Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams to enhance organizational capabilities in AI innovation
As an individual contributor working with a high degree of independence, deliver executive‑level analysis to the Chief AI Officer and communicate clear, deductive insights on emerging AI trends. Synthesize knowledge gained from scouting, networking, and engaging with relevant AI domains to keep the organization at the forefront
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent education with 14+ years of experience required or Master's Degree/MBA from an accredited university or equivalent education with 12+ years of experience and/or Doctorate degree from an accredited university or equivalent education with 10+ years of experience
Experience with ML engineering, designing AI platforms and frameworks, defining AI strategy and governance
Expert in AI technologies, digital business models, and global market trends
Demonstrated ability to manage and provide expert advice in a highly specialized field of AI innovation and transformation
Proven capability to act as a thought leader and drive strategic initiatives at senior leadership levels (SVP/GVP)
Strong skills in assessing emerging AI trends, technologies, and digital business opportunities on both local and global scales
Expertise in presenting business cases to executive leadership to secure funding for digital initiatives
Ability to lead and foster international collaborations with external partners
Advanced understanding of how digital disruption impacts business models, products, systems, and client interactions
Exceptional strategic planning and execution skills within a complex organizational structure
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management teams
Demonstrate an enterprise mindset with experience and understanding of global organizations, and a natural ability to navigate across all levels and team structures
Comprehensive knowledge of IT resources, including software applications, data processing, and telecommunications systems
Capacity to evaluate and adapt services for diverse social and economic environments
The base compensation range for this position is $ 229.200 to $ 401.100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long‑term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
