A Brief Overview The Mortgage Loan Specialist is responsible for dispatch of the services, collateral and conditions of the loan to ensure all requirements are met and the loan is Clear to Closing. Ensure that legal and property reviews are compliant with policies, procedures, applicable regulations local and federal (TILA-RESPA etc.), and investor and guarantor guidelines. The objective of the role is to manage dispatch services, the legal review, property taxes consults, collateral issues and loan conditions prior to closing. Complete necessary post consummation documentation and process. Also, collaborate with loan processor and loan officer to ensure loan closing. Provide solutions and solve problems to ensure that disclosures are complete and sent within the time frame established. Provide support to business units in regard to all loan processes.
What you'll do
Perform an initial review of data accuracy and loan documents to validate integrity. Request services to providers, follow up until completion.
Complete analysis of title search and legal recommendation; contact borrower, realtors or seller to request documents and provide status.
Analyze property taxes, determine if a consultation is required, if so, manage the request, complete documents and contact borrower and seller to discuss property taxes retention if apply.
Manage collateral issues such as encroachments. Analyze surveys and recommendations. Consult with Underwriter if applicable. Manage required documents, contact borrowers or sellers and follow up until completion.
Monitor loans that are ready for closing, manage closing conditions, contact borrower and request the review to Underwriting within the timeframe established.
Maintain the status updated in the system.
Monitor service level agreements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Knowledge
2-3 years of relevant experience in mortgage.
2-3 years of relevant experience in banking industry.
2-3 years of relevant experience in customer service or equivalent experience.
