Job Summary Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to adults and children, using prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises patients on lenses, frames, style, weight, and color.
The pay range advertised does not include additional compensation from the spiff program.
Key Responsibilities
Verify order data entry, compare Rx to original prescription, and file orders correctly.
Deliver sales and excellent member service in person and over the phone, explaining exam fee procedures honestly.
Takes measurements, selects frames, reads prescriptions on the lensometer, and notifies members of product readiness.
Educate patients on available products to improve visual needs and reach sales/metric goals.
Engage members during downtime in front of Optical.
Maintain privacy and follow HIPAA policies.
Assist Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures, ensuring accurate funds and payments.
Maintain all club policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
Show regular, predictable, full attendance as essential function.

Open shift availability required for full-time positions.
Minimum age 18.
Environmental Job Conditions
Mostly moving on hard surfaces; may need to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally more with assistance.
Work in comfortable indoor area with temperature extremes and loud noises; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
Use optical hand tools to adjust and repair eyew glasses.
