As part of the Disneyland Resort Public Relations team, the Public Relations Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans, story ideas, and media pitches, as well as cultivating strong media relationships that generate positive news coverage and earned media for Disneyland Resort. We are looking for a creative, passionate storyteller who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, adept at writing press/PR communications and managing PR projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Public Relations at the Disneyland Resort. Permanent role. What You Will Do

Develop, maintain and leverage media relationships in assigned markets, and work with print, digital and broadcast media to pitch and place positive coverage about Disneyland Resort. Generate creative story ideas that translate into positive news coverage, and pitch/host media to attend major press events or one‑off visits and FAMs. Research and respond to media inquiries and develop appropriate responses. Write press materials in AP style under tight deadlines; manage research, reviews and approvals with partners. Draft editorial content for owned channels as needed. Plan distribution of press materials, including the Disneyland Resort newsroom. Manage PR projects as assigned. Guide what is newsworthy and interesting from a media perspective, working closely with communications partners. Monitor media coverage about DLR and follow up as needed. Work closely with external and internal partners, including Communications/Public Affairs for Disneyland Resort and Disney Experiences. Serve as a Disneyland Resort spokesperson within Disney guidelines. Provide support with multicultural PR initiatives. Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism. Experience partnering effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders and collaborating with Cast Members at all levels. Experience working with media, with a track record of placing stories and strong knowledge of news markets, releases, and media production (video, photography). Experience developing communication strategies and storytelling across multiple platforms, including social and digital channels. Produced high‑quality written and verbal communications with strong attention to language, messaging, and detail, meeting tight deadlines with minimal editing. Wrote in Associated Press (AP) style. Used content management systems (e.g., WordPress), digital asset management tools, and other digital applications confidently. Managed projects and priorities using project management tools (e.g., Airtable), communicating effectively under pressure. Used Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook. Strong working knowledge of the Disneyland Resort. Handled confidential information. Navigated a schedule that includes occasional nights, weekends, and overnights. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working at the Disneyland Resort and/or within Disney Experiences. Experience in a newsroom, marketing, and/or public relations environment. Experience writing press releases and related external communication materials. Experience managing complex projects and timelines across multiple stakeholders. Experience working with local and regional media, including Disney fan‑site media. Experience within the travel or hospitality industry. Multilingual (Spanish). Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (required). Advanced education, including certifications (preferred). Additional Information

The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
