Senior Vice President, Strategic & Commercial Sales – Retail & CPG (North America) Join SymphonyAI as the Senior Vice President, Strategic & Commercial Sales – Retail & CPG, where you will define and lead the commercial vision across one of our most critical verticals. This role is accountable for revenue growth, strategic account expansion, and enterprise deal leadership across Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods.

As a senior commercial leader, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and market influence, owning a significant revenue portfolio while building deep partnerships with some of the most recognized global brands.

Role Mandate Drive end-to-end revenue ownership and market expansion, with a focus on Top 30 strategic accounts and $10M+ ARR deal creation, while building a scalable, high-performance enterprise sales organization.

Job Description What You Will Do Commercial Strategy & Revenue Ownership

Own and execute the North America Retail & CPG sales strategy, aligned to aggressive growth targets

Deliver against a significant annual quota (team + strategic overlay) with focus on large, multi-year enterprise deals ($5M–$20M+)

Lead strategic account planning across Top 30 priority accounts, driving penetration, expansion, and long-term value creation

Enterprise Sales & Deal Leadership

Personally engage in and help close high-impact, complex deals, particularly those exceeding $10M ARR

Drive a consultative, value-based sales approach, aligning SymphonyAI’s AI-driven solutions to measurable business outcomes

Position offerings such as CINDE Connected Retail and Price Suite as transformational platforms within client environments

Executive Relationship Management

Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders (CEO, CFO, CDO, CMO, Chief Merchandising Officer)

Establish SymphonyAI as a strategic partner across Retail and CPG enterprises

Represent SymphonyAI in executive forums, industry events, and key client engagements

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales organization, including second-line leadership (Directors and VPs)

Build a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement

Attract, develop, and retain top enterprise sales talent

Sales Excellence & Operational Rigor

Drive sales process optimization, including pipeline management, deal inspection, and forecasting discipline

Leverage tools such as Salesforce and sales enablement platforms to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision‑making

Ensure forecast accuracy and pipeline health, bringing predictability to revenue outcomes

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Delivery teams to deliver integrated, high‑impact solutions

Influence product roadmap and pricing strategy based on market feedback and client needs

Align go‑to‑market strategies with broader company objectives

Data-Driven Execution & Market Insight

Utilize analytics and performance data to optimize sales strategies and execution

Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer priorities within Retail and CPG

Continuously refine strategy to align with market shifts and emerging opportunities

What You Will Bring

Proven track record of owning and exceeding large-scale revenue targets ($50M+ quota responsibility)

Demonstrated success closing complex, enterprise SaaS deals, including $5M+ and $10M+ ARR engagements

Deep experience in Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods sectors, with strong industry relationships

Expertise in consultative, solution-based, and transformation‑led selling

Experience leading layered, high-performing sales organizations

Strong commercial acumen across pricing, contract negotiation, and deal structuring

Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and sales analytics tools

Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence and partner with C-level stakeholders

Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision making

Requirements

15+ years of enterprise sales experience with significant leadership scope

8+ years leading enterprise SaaS or technology sales teams

Experience managing strategic accounts and complex enterprise sales cycles

Background in consulting environments such as Accenture or similar firms strongly preferred

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Willingness to travel as needed
