Job Description
Process a considerable number of orders daily. Access various software programs and portals related to order processing: Orders Entered into Method Integration (Quickbooks) Web Order Platform Credit Card Processing Gateway Will be responsible for checking order information on customer purchase order documents Interpret shipping terms and instructions (Prepay & Add, collect, FOB, Exworks, Freight vs Parcel, shipping services) Interpret billing terms and instructions (Net 30, ERS, Payment in advance, customer portals ect) Revise and update open orders as needed per customer, sales, production requirements Appropriately manage communication directly with customers regarding orders via phone and email Handle shipping questions, order complaints or returns and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives. Communicate with the Regional Sales Account Managers, Production Managers, and Shipping Manager regarding details and delivery schedules for customer orders Possess a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. This position interfaces not only with customers, but also with several other departments on a daily basis. Clear effective communication will be a key to success. Additional duties as assigned Required Experience and Qualifications: 2+ year post high school education Accurate and quick typing skills Ability to manage email inbox with 100+ emails (sent & received) daily Experience in Customer Service/ Accounting Experience with Quickbooks or Method a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong verbal and written communication skills – understanding of grammar and punctuation principles Professional, friendly, and polite when interacting with customers & colleagues Fluency in Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel)
