JR109502MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.**Job Purpose**The Technical Sales Business Analyst supports technical sales and supply chain operations for valves and other PVF and engineered products by analyzing product, pricing, and sales data to improve decision-making and operational efficiency. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, support contract bid processes, and align customer specifications with product offerings. The Technical Sales Business Analyst also contributes to strategic initiatives through market analysis, process standardization, and the development of analytical and automation tools that enhance data quality and operational effectiveness.**Key Duties & Responsibilities**The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Support Supply Chain and Technical Sales processes for valves and other PVF and engineered products, including customer-facing collaboration related to specifications, product alignment, and data accuracy.* Handle confidential information in order to aid in the creation and execution of analyses necessary to advance various strategic initiatives, including market sizing, vendor profiling, competitor profiling, customer account analysis, and profitability analysis of goods and services, across strategic, operational, and customer-facing initiatives.* Provide analytical and administrative support to initiatives in order to communicate insights, decisions, and progress to management and cross-functional stakeholders.* Drive process and data standardization efforts to improve quality, consistency, scalability, and efficiency across technical, commercial, and supply chain workflows.* Contribute to the development, application, and adoption of analytical, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve data quality, decision support, and operational effectiveness.* Utilize strong time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and inquiries.* Accept progressive responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy in work products.* Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and records.* Support the MRO contract bid process and assist in any projects resulting from the award of a contract, such as post-award market basket pricing, maintenance, and compliance monitoring.* Analyze sales history data and pricing for order compliance, inventory optimization, and strategic sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.* Create and maintain cross-reference tools for both internal and external customers to support spec-to-product alignment and standardization.* Gather, analyze, and present large amounts of data in a comprehensible format.* Develop and train others on tools created for the purpose of implementing large-scale change and ongoing process improvement.**Education & Experience*** Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience, which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.**Skills & Abilities*** High level of proficiency and accuracy in computer skills, including MRC Global-specific software and systems.* Proficient in VBA or other automation/scripting tools, including the use of Power Automate, to support workflow automation, data processing, and analytical efficiency.* Mastery of Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint to manage multiple databases.* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, as well as internal departments (i.e.: Accounting, Operations, Business Development, CDC/Pricing, Finance, I/S, Traffic, Capital Projects, Quality, etc.).* Attention to detail, good decision-making skills, and the willingness to exercise them.* Self-motivated, strong organizational and time management skills.* Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in the review and entry of data.**Working Conditions*** Most work is performed in an office setting at a desk or in front of a computer.* Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.* For position-specific details regarding the physical and mental demands and working conditions, contact Human Resources.* Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.### Comprehensive Benefits**MRC Global** offers comprehensive benefits and incentives.
