Sr. Director of Agentic AI

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Director of Agentic AI for a full-time direct hire position. This role requires an innovative leader to envision, design, and implement agentic AI driven workflows at an enterprise level. The successful candidate will enhance the efficiency of operations across various functions by deploying intelligent automation solutions, leveraging advanced AI technologies to support decision-making within a regulated biotech environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver a multi-year agentic AI and RPA roadmap spanning hyper automation, process mining, and workflow orchestration.
• Establish and lead an Agentic Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) to set standards, manage reusable assets, and measure business impact and ROI.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute high-value automation initiatives across functions.
• Architect modular, secure multi-agent systems using modern AI frameworks with well-defined inter-agent communication patterns.
• Set enterprise standards for human-in-the-loop agent collaboration and integrate agentic systems with cloud MLOps platforms.
• Design event-driven, low-code automation pipelines enabling real-time agentic task execution.
• Implement governance, testing, and compliance frameworks for autonomous and semi-autonomous workflows.
• Lead and scale cross-functional teams of AI architects, engineers, and product managers using agile delivery practices.
• Evaluate emerging agentic AI research and partner with technology vendors and open-source communities.
• Collaborate closely with data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to operationalize agentic AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline (PhD preferred).
• 15+ years leading enterprise AI, ML, or automation initiatives with deep hands-on architectural experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and scaling LLM-based systems in production environments.
• Proven people leadership in regulated or highly governed enterprise settings.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
