Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is building a platform the world has never seen, one that seamlessly unites sports, gaming, and commerce. We are seeking aDirector, Product - Onboarding to drive innovation, scale and excellence across our ecosystem for all things onboarding.
This leader will oversee end-to-end product strategy and execution for Registration, Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Login, and Account, while scaling a world-class product team. You will ensure our systems are intuitive, compliant, and designed to enhance both customer and operational experiences.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that requires strategic thinking, technical fluency, and proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for Onboarding.
- Scale onboarding as a service across the wider Fanatics ecosystem.
- Drive product lifecycle from ideation through delivery and optimization all while balancing cost, reliability, scalability, and customer experience.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Design, Commercial, Fraud and Operations to ensure products are aligned with regulatory and business needs.
Onboarding Platforms
- Lead innovation in Onboarding experiences, ensuring frictionless sign-up from login through to first bet.
- Oversee strategy and product management, optimizing user experience, system performance, and integrations with core platforms.
- Manage releases, integrations, and enhancements to support Onboarding
- Champion the use of data, analytics, and AI to drive customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product team; create career pathing for managers and ICs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Act as a thought leader in Onboarding systems across FBG.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, UX/UI, Operations, Commercial and senior leadership to align roadmaps and deliver results.
- Represent Onboarding product strategy with executives and external partners.
Qualifications
Required
- 8 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years leading teams at scale.
- Proven success owning end-to-end product lifecycles and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Skilled in agile/iterative methodologies, product discovery, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence at the executive level.
- Track record of driving change and delivering in complex, matrixed organizations.
Preferred
- Deep knowledge of Industry onboarding rules and regulations.
- Experience in sports betting, online casino, fintech, or highly regulated consumer industries.
- Salesforce admin certification (Service Cloud / Sales Cloud) or equivalent.
- Technical fluency in APIs, SQL, and Salesforce development (Apex/Visualforce) a plus.
- Passion for sports, gaming, and entertainment products.
- Recognized thought leadership in payments, operations, or CRM product management.

Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. Salary Range: $200,000 to $230,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed). About the Team
Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting & Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium.
