Summary:
The Pricing Analyst ensures that product cost and price quotes are developed on a timely and accurate basis, and files are updated to ensure proper systems are followed. The position will support the gathering of data through technical skills to support management, as well as allow for analytical decision-making. The Pricing Analyst will analyze financial data and provide forecast projections for accurate, data-driven decision‑making. They will support management as well as cross‑functional projects for various margin protection initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support new and existing product quotations
Create and maintain cost quotation templates, tracking gross margin levels and profitability
Execute the costing model by tracking market shifts and collating raw material requirements
Develop multi‑step and third‑party quotations, communicating detailed explanations to Sales
Support large customer RFP, Bids, and various quotation activities
Ensure quotation files are accurately maintained
Maintain customer folders and formatted bid templates
Collate raw material requirements and periodically review with the PMs
Interpret and accurately report pricing changes on Price Quotes, Customer files, and JDE
Provide pricing support for business development opportunities
Assist with cost, profitability, and efficiency analysis
Monitor and report on product gross margin and margin levels
Have a good understanding of customer financial performance and Prinova strategy
Implement strategic pricing models and create pricing recommendations
Analyze specific blend profitability, raw material shifts, and market trends regularly
Lead price change implementations by identifying and supporting business development
Support Salesforce, JDE use, and reporting
Assist with analysis of opportunities, quotes, projects, and other customer financial data
Evaluate current and previous financial data, recommending appropriate changesProvide standard and custom reporting, ensuring all records and assumptions are up to date
Understand and partner with sales and finance on Prinova Solutions financial strategies

Required Education and/or Experience
Undergraduate degree from a 4‑year college or university in a Business discipline
Or three plus years of related experience and/or training
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to read, understand, format, create, and modify specification documents where necessary
Proficiently communicate both verbally and via written (email/presentation) format
Proficiency in basic arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Thorough understanding of unit of measure conversions
Ability to make educated judgments on the correctness, accuracy, and appropriateness of information
Basic understanding of critical thinking and data analysis, especially as it relates to finances
Ability to organize, prioritize, and make data‑driven decisions
Create and maintain systems for keeping up on details on multiple projects; provide reminders, administer tasks, communicate between various parties, and create and maintain files on various projects simultaneously
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, careful execution of tasks, and regularly check one's own work before submitting as drafted or completed
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; proficient use of formatting, equations, IF functions, V Lookups, and basic macros
General computer aptitude for learning systems like MS tools, DocuWare, Reports Now, and Salesforce.com, with understanding and willingness to use, learn, and report out of the systems specifically for sales orders, manufacturing management, and financial reporting aspects
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of timeOther physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
