Job Responsibilities
Review and decide consumer loan, credit card, and deposit account applications received from branches and online channels within assigned authority.
Gather and analyze financial and credit data to make consistent, sound underwriting decisions and validate data accuracy in the loan origination system.
Communicate decisions promptly to branches and members while supporting strong member relationships through friendly, service‑focused interactions.
Recommend loan terms, collateral requirements, and payment plans as appropriate, ensuring adherence to policies and compliance standards.
Cross‑train and provide backup support to other loan department roles during high‑volume periods or staffing needs.
Follow all internal policies, procedures, and security protocols while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and consistent attendance.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a business‑related field from an accredited college or university or 2 years of relevant work experience (may be substituted).
Ability to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
Competitive team player with a positive attitude willing to learn and adapt to change.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced member‑service environment.
