Job Description Location: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Columbia, MD; Hybrid

In this position, you’ll be based in either the Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, or Columbia, MD office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

A role you will love As the Senior IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with product managers and project teams to define business requirements and to meet project objectives. You will ensure that requirements are within our business standards and guidelines and align with our business strategy and objectives. You will perform business analysis and administrative tasks to assist with the enhancement and maintenance of applications managed by the Enterprise Systems team. You will also manage risks associated with projects and scrum teams, including compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adherence to internal Computershare policies, procedures, and controls. Lastly, you will be part of a cross‑functional Agile delivery team that creates customer‑oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare and Technology strategy.

Other Key Responsibilities Include

Working with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues.

Communicating, collaborating and negotiating with key stakeholders (e.g. Value Stream Leader, LOB, Legal, Compliance, etc.).

Managing and prioritizing the scrum’s backlog and working with the team to plan stories for upcoming sprints.

Determining acceptance criteria for final UAT code.

Obtaining appropriate buy‑in on difficult decisions and solving complex issues, especially when there isn’t agreement among stakeholders.

Documenting high‑level requirements for further refinement, including preparation of user stories.

Supporting estimates for User Stories based on the relative sizing scale used in your team.

Accurately capturing information in a format that stakeholders can understand, review and validate.

What will you bring to the role? We are looking for someone who has good communication skills and can provide clear verbal and/or written communications in response to queries. You’ll be highly skilled at working with stakeholders, including building strong relationships and confidence while setting expectations and meeting commitments to increase customer satisfaction. You will have an eye for detail, and you will be expected to respond to problems by identifying and proposing solutions through analysis.

You’ll Also Bring

5+ years of IT industry experience, or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

3+ years of Senior IT Business Analyst experience and any relevant certification is an added advantage.

Ability to manage large‑scale initiatives and effectively partner with stakeholders across business and technical teams.

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.

Ability to synthesize data to form a story and align information to contrast or compare to industry perspective and historical business trends.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

4+ years of experience with SQL.

Experience using advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.

Previous experience working within an agile environment.

Bonus Points If You Have

Degree in IT, or related discipline such as mathematics or science.

Experience in Financial Services industry.

Agile and Axure ADO experience in regulated organizations.

Strong working experience of database development with RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.

Experience with Purview.

Compensation The typical base pay ranges for this role are $84,000–$126,000 for Columbia, MD; $84,000–$126,000 for Minnesota; and $84,000–$126,000 for North Carolina.
