Service Desk Technician – 12‑Month Contract We are seeking one Service Desk Technician for a 12‑month contract, with a strong possibility of extension or conversion.

Schedule

Friday–Sunday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Plus: 4 additional hours during the week (consultant may choose when to schedule these hours)

Onsite: 5 days per week

Location This role will be onsite in Richmond, VA. While most of the Service Desk team is based in Oshkosh, WI and Evansville, IN, this position will support a specific plant location and will have a hybrid responsibility of:

50% Service Desk support

50% onsite plant support

Role Overview This position provides first‑level support for end users via phone, email, and chat, using the ServiceNow ticketing system. Issues that cannot be resolved remotely will be escalated to this role for hands‑on, onsite support, working closely with other enterprise teams as needed.

The organization is transitioning Service Desk operations from a managed service partner back in house, creating an opportunity to be part of a growing and evolving support model.

Responsibilities

First‑level troubleshooting for end‑user issues

Phone, email, and chat support

Ticket creation and documentation in ServiceNow

Password resets and account support

Hands‑on troubleshooting for hardware and software issues

Collaboration with enterprise IT teams for escalation and resolution

Ideal Candidate This is an excellent opportunity for an entry‑level candidate looking to gain real‑world experience in an enterprise environment, as well as for candidates with prior Service Desk or Help Desk experience.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
