Accounting Associate
to join our clients property accounting team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting functions across a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and efficient processing of property-level transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced real estate environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with
monthly property financial close , including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Record and reconcile
rent receipts, tenant payments, and operating expenses Support
accounts payable and vendor invoice processing
related to property operations Prepare
bank reconciliations
for property-level operating and reserve accounts Assist with
tenant ledger reviews
and follow up on discrepancies Help maintain
accurate general ledger activity
for assigned properties Support preparation of
monthly financial statements and variance analyses Assist with
CAM reconciliations and tenant chargebacks
where applicable Maintain organized documentation for
audit support and internal reviews Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and vendors to resolve accounting questions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field
preferred 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in
real estate or property accounting Familiarity with
accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Experience with
property management or accounting software
(e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or similar) is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
