Indirect Tax Specialist | 11 months Contract | up to €83,000 per annum
My client is on a mission to transform enterprise applications and is seeking a dedicated Indirect Tax Specialist to join their central Dublin team on a fixed‑term maternity cover contract.
The successful candidate will provide specialist indirect tax advice to the tax function and key business partners, supporting projects aimed at improving processes and ensuring global indirect tax requirements are met.
What will I be responsible for day-to-day?
Provide indirect tax guidance to the tax team and wider business.
Support the Global Indirect Tax Director in advising cross‑functional groups.
Deliver practical indirect tax input on internal projects and initiatives.
Serve as a key contact for indirect tax matters and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Assist Senior Indirect Tax Managers with process and compliance improvements.
Track changes in indirect tax regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Identify and implement refund or cash‑flow optimisation opportunities.
Review and approve indirect tax filings and reconciliations.
Manage queries and audits from Tax Authorities.
Collaborate with internal IT teams on relevant projects or issues.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in an international indirect tax environment, with strong technical expertise across VAT, GST, and other indirect tax requirements.
You should demonstrate a solid grasp of accounting principles and how you influence indirect tax positions, along with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high‑performance team.
We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline is required, while professional qualifications such as CTA or ACCA are highly preferred.
