Associate Athletic Trainer: Men's Basketball/ Men's & Women's Golf

East Texas A&M University is searching for an Associate Level Athletic Trainer for Men's Basketball // Men's and Women's Golf. East Texas is a Division 1 Athletics Program with 14 sports competing in the Southland Conference. All full time staff receive employee benefits as part of the Texas A&M University system. All ETAMU Staff Athletic Trainers are allotted $1000 annually for CEU opportunities, and annual Dues/Certification fees are provided.

Applicants must be eligible for Texas State licensure as well as NATABOC certified. Minimum requirements of Master's degree in accredited MSAT program or comparable degree in related field. (This is not an entry level position) 2-4 years prior Division 1 experience is preferred, prior Collegiate Basketball experience preferred.

This role will serve as the primary healthcare provider for Men's Basketball with coordination of daily treatments, injury evaluation, rehabilitation, communication with Team Physicians and coordination of medical care. Daily practice/event coverage, travel to all games and post season events as applicable. For Men's & Women's golf responsibilities will include daily treatments for injuries/conditions associated with sport, evaluation of injuries/illnesses, coordinating referrals to team physicians and rehabilitation of injuries. No direct practice coverage onsite, no event coverage with exception to hosted events if applicable. Consideration for coverage in post season play will be determined by administration & medical team prior to events. Prior experience with Injury documentation in Smartabase, or comparable Injury Tracking software is preferred. Preference for candidates with Instructor certification in CPR/AED & First Aid, prior experience as clinical supervisor for Athletic Training students.
