As the
HIV Screening and Early Intervention Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
Perform HIV screening and testing sessions at OASAS approved substance abuse treatment programs
Provide HCV screening and testing to individuals who represent as high risk, screening will be provided during and not absent of HIV screening
Conduct outreach activities to identify opportunities for HIV screening at OASAS certified programs
Immediate referral to on-going HIV medical care and support through Catholic Charities Care Coordination Services for clients retuning a reactive result during screening
Track performance of program, and identify required structural changes to increase success of program. Evaluation of program should include overall testing numbers, client’s successfully receiving care for HIV, additional education and risk reduction services including, but not limited to Syringe Exchange and PrEP

Minimum Salary: $42,000

Maximum Salary: $42,000
HIV Screening and Early Intervention Specialist
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:30-4:30
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Health Education or Human Services
Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable
1-3 years of experience working with current or former substance users
Must have:
A personal cell phone,
Valid driver’s license,
Proof of current car insurance and registration
Access to a working and reliable vehicle.
