and other long‑form interview series on the Betches YouTube channel. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply tapped into the cultural conversation — who knows what’s trending, why it’s trending, and why it’s funny.

You’ll work closely with our production team to develop episode scripts, questions, and interview talking points that are sharp, timely, and genuinely entertaining — and you’ll be on the ground supporting production when the cameras are rolling.

This is a part‑time freelance role, approximately 10‑12 hours per week, supporting 4–8 episodes per month. The role is hybrid, with some weekly in‑person availability required in NYC.

Roles & Responsibilities

Research and compile weekly trending topics, viral moments, memes, and internet discourse across TikTok, Instagram, X, and beyond

Deliver comprehensive guest briefs to the Senior Producer for each episode, covering the celebrity's background, recent projects, press narrative, online presence, and any relevant cultural moments

Research each guest's promotional project in depth — film, TV, album, or otherwise — so the team is fully prepared to speak to their work in context

Tailor research to each episode's guests — identifying their viral moments, online footprint, and cultural relevance to inform personalized questions

Coordinate with talent and PR teams to confirm approved talking points, off‑limit topics, and project embargoes ahead of production

Source and clear images, clips, and media assets to be used in each episode

Fact‑check all quiz and script content rigorously to ensure accuracy and cultural context before it goes on camera

Stay ahead of the news cycle and flag relevant stories with enough lead time for production

Collaborate with producers and editors to refine scripts and punch up questions

Occasionally assist the Senior Producer on set during in‑studio shoots, junket shoots, and virtual production sessions as needed

Maintain a working knowledge of Betches' voice, tone, and audience

Qualifications

Strong research and writing skills with the ability to adapt to the Betches voice

Experience on set or in a production environment is a must

Genuinely, almost concerningly online — you are the first person in your group chat to send a meme

A clear sense of what’s funny, what’s culturally relevant, and what will land on camera

Comfortable working quickly and independently in a fast‑moving production environment

2–3 years of experience in media, editorial, production, research, or a related field

Familiarity with Google Suite, Asana, Frame.io, and LucidLink

Familiarity with Betches Media and a genuine understanding of the brand’s audience and tone

NYC‑based with availability for in‑person production days, tapings, and junkets

Compensation The expected hourly rate for this role is $25–$30 an hour, and a commitment of up to 12 hours per week.
