Lead/Sr Product Manager - Digital Asset Management
Kforce Inc, San Francisco, CA, United States
Responsibilities
Kforce's client in San Francisco, CA is looking for a Senior Product Manager with a focus on delivering and evolving our enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) capability. As the DAM Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the product direction, leading implementation, and driving adoption of DAM as a core enterprise platform that supports merchandising, creative, marketing, and downstream digital experiences. You will own DAM as part of a broader merchandising systems ecosystem, ensuring it enables scalable workflows, metadata‑driven automation, and high‑quality asset reuse across all brands.
Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Digital Asset Management as part of the Merchandising Systems portfolio
Lead DAM solution implementation and rollout, including platform configuration, integration strategy, and phased adoption across brands and teams
Define DAM's role within the broader ecosystem, ensuring clear separation from creative production tools while enabling downstream activation and reuse
Partner with Engineering and Architecture to design and evolve API‑driven integrations between DAM and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., creative tools, PIM, WAM, rendering and image services)
Define and enforce metadata strategy and governance, including enterprise attribution alignment, enrichment workflows (native or external), and data quality standards
Act as the primary product owner and subject‑matter expert for DAM, representing the platform in cross‑functional discussions and decision forums
Identify and prioritize enhancements based on user feedback, business needs, and platform evolution
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Product Management or senior business systems roles, with ownership of enterprise platforms
Direct experience implementing, scaling, or operating Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions at scale in a retail, eCommerce, or content‑rich environment
DAM experience should not focus on upstream workflows, rather working with close‑to‑be approved assets and making them available for the website
Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, and content governance, and how they enable automation and reuse
Experience working with large product assortments and high‑volume digital assets
Ability to articulate a clear POV on DAM's role relative to creative production tools, marketing workflows, and digital delivery platforms
Solid technical foundation, with the ability to understand and discuss APIs, integrations, data models, and architectural trade‑offs
Proven ability to lead change management and adoption across diverse business teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across executive, business, and technical audiences
Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and making informed trade‑offs
Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
Knowledge of retail merchandising, eCommerce platforms, or digital content ecosystems
