Position Title:
Estimator
This position requires an estimator to perform take-offs of civil plans for underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate assessments and bids for projects typically valued around $1 million. Candidates must be detail-oriented, especially with numbers, and possess the ability to read civil plans effectively. The estimator will utilize estimating software, manage project documentation, and assist in communication with general contractors and suppliers. Salary Range:
$72,800 - $104,000 / Year DOE
Estimator Responsibilities
Check emails and manage project communications Perform take-offs by downloading and analyzing civil plans Input pricing data into bid forms Submit bids to general contractors Request quotes from material suppliers Support a lead estimator on various projects
Estimator Requirements
Construction management degree or 3-4 years of experience in a civil estimating role Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills Blue beam, adobe, and Procore experience is preferred
